Wanted to share something.... we took the dinghy out today to run some errands (Home Depot, West Marine, lunch...) and while we were out we came across a pair of manatees in one of the canals we tied up in. The water was so clear you could see to the bottom (which was only about 10 ft). Chip rowed the dinghy over by them (motor might have scared them away) so we could get a closer look and so I could take a couple photos. Gentle giants comes to mind when you watch them gracefully move around in the water. They were curious about us but didnt seem to mind us at all.
