You would think after 4 months in the Keys and 6 months cruising that would be enough for us for one season, but noooooo.....we returned home back at Bay Point in Norfolk just in time to get ready for a Caribbean cruise! We went to Grand Cayman, Belize and Roatan, Honduras. We had to skip Cozumel because (as our captain pronounced it....) the "sweeny" flu was in Mexico therefore we could not stop there. So we had to endure another day at sea, enjoying the tropical sun, warm temps and free flowing fruity alcohol drinks....but I guess someone had to do it!
We did have a fabulous time on the cruise. We snorkeled in both Grand Cayman and Roatan. I even held a live Starfish. We met some wonderful people on the cruise ship and made a few fast friends. We traveled with another couple, Sondra and Larry, and our friend Kimberly traveled with us, sharing our cabin onboard.
We returned on Sunday 5/03 and drove back to Fernandina Beach, where we picked up Kimberly on the way to the ship, and spent a couple days there before returning home. We were just in time for the annual Shrimp Fest!
